It might also serve as a jumping-off point for a discussion about giving other people a chance to speak and choose, especially for a kid who's been overwhelming a friend with a little too much love. Mousie Love has beautifully detailed, engaging illustrations. Bright and colorful but soft around the edges, they're the perfect accompaniment to this modest mouse tale.
