An independence weekend shocker: Sarah Palin resigns her post as Governor of Alaska and appears to be leaving politics entirely. In her remarks today, Palin said that not only will she not seek re-election, but also that she knows "we can effect positive change outside of government at this point in time on another scale and actually make a difference for our priorities."
Palin explained that she was resigning her post because she didn't want to be a "lame duck" for the next year and half. This reasoning makes no sense. Wouldn't she be able to devote more time to actually governing if she weren't concerned with campaigning for the next election? MSNBC is currently speculating that she wants to put her energy behind promoting her forthcoming autobiography. Video of her presser is below.

Most close to Palin were shocked to hear of her resignation. Many are now wondering if Palin could even run for President when she quit as Governor. Others say Palin has paid out a lot of money to successfully defend herself in frivalous lawsuits by liberal democrats.
Lt. Gov Sean Parnell will take over as Governor of Alaska.
Palin recently did an interview with Runner’s World magazine, in which she claims she is a runner. We agree. We think Sarah is running away from her problems as Governor, hookah and running from the pressure she and her family have suffered from since Sarah accepted the Republican vice president nominee spot.
Enjoy private life Sarah. We think Sarah’s career in politics is over. This is a very disappointing end.

A breathless Gov. Sarah Palin announced that she will step down from her post as Alaska governor at the end of the month, giving no details about her motivation or future plans. Sarah Palin, is really making big news eversince the election period in January. However, now there's some Sarah Palin news that's at least worth a little attention. There hasn't been a reason given specifically as to why she has resigned the post as Alaska Governor, but it's rumored that she's doing it to concentrate on being the frontrunner for the 2012 Republican Candidate, and she's probably also looking into some instant payday loans for campaign funding. Sarah Palin is loved by some, detested and ridiculed by others, and secured loans for a 2012 Presidential run might not be ill spent.
