Welcome to the On-Ramp, Double X's guide to navigating work and life. We're going to pack it full of useful data and tips, including a daily crib sheet of everything you need to pay attention to in the financial news, first-person accounts from ordinary people weathering the economic downturn, and interviews with successful women who've made it to the top in a wide range of careers. The name, in case you're wondering, comes from a 2005 book called On-Ramps and Off-Ramps: Keeping Talented Women on the Road to Success. That's exactly what we hope this blog will help to do.
